The original Kawasaki KX80 ruled motocross race tracks from 1979-2000. In 2001 Kawasaki upgraded the KX80 to a KX85 in 2001 with an true engine displacement of 85cc using a Keihin PWK28 carburetor.

Kawasaki provides 11.4 inches of frame ground clearance on the KX85 to clear large MX obstacles.

The popular KX85 MX dirt bike from Kawasaki weighs 165.3 lbs and the overall length is 72.0 inches.

Kawasaki produces the KX85 with a seat height of 32.7 inches and a wheelbase from axle to axle measuring 49.8 inches for sharp turning and superior handling characteristics with high speed stability.
